Sunrise seminar

October  23, 2018

It is not every day that aspiring entrepreneurs get an opportunity to learn from those who have already done it and succeeded. So when the opportunity arose, just over 100 aspiring entrepeneurs braved the harsh weather conditions to attend a seminar hosted by the Business Clinic at the Blue Roof Wellness Centre in Wentworth. High profile speakers from various business sectors addressed key business issues and presented vital information on how to become a successful entrepreneur.

Facilitator of the Business Clinic, Reginald Nyandeni, was the vehicle through which interested delegates were shuttled from a weekly business meeting, to a new level of thinking through a well organized seminar. The key speakers were Reginald Nyandeni from Business Clinic, Zine Ichebu from Transnet, Innocent Hlongwane from Trade and Investment KZN, Diane Gaskin from Business Support Centre, Manqoba Mbatha from
Ithala, Veronica Ngubane from MUT  and Sibusiso Msawoni fom Chamber of Commerce. The speakers used their proficiency as ammunition to empower and enrich the audience.

Rodney Roskruge who is a poet, author and surrealist displayed much prowess as an orator at this seminar as it was his debut as programs director. One of the speakers affirmed  that weather you are  a seasoned corporate or a novice, becoming a successful entrepreneur is all about incubating ideas, and breaking out of the shell with a plan and a vision. Manager of the Blue Roof and Wellness Centre, Tom Butterworth, emphasized the importance of local business and the community working collaboratively to achieve economic development for the community. The most exceptional element of assurance was that funding and resources were available to the aspiring business person.
